Bomb-related question from passenger causes 5-hour flight delay at NAIA

A Japan-bound Philippine Airlines (PAL) flight with about 200 passengers onboard was delayed for almost five hours due to the alleged bomb threat issued  by one of the passengers at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1.

Authorities decided to conduct the required security protocol after a woman passenger was heard asking question if there was a bomb inside the plane, according to Airport Police Col. Esteban Eustaquio.

The PAL flight was supposed to leave at the NAIA at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, May 1, but the incident resulted in all the passengers being asked to disembark for the conduct of security measures like inspections inside the plane.
