De Los Santos Medical Center (DLSMC) won the “Facilities Improvement Initiative of the Year – Philippines” title during the Healthcare Asia Awards 2024 held in Singapore last March 26, 2024.
The award was given in recognition to DLSMC’s “unwavering commitment in providing exceptional and compassionate healthcare, matched with a conscientious effort to maintain affordability.” It was the result of the hospital’s transformative thrust in 2023 that focused on enhancing patient safety and amplifying the value of services across all operational points.
DLSMC implemented strategic measures that greatly impacted its efforts in achieving a seamless and pleasant patient journey from start to finish. This led to the significant reduction in the turnaround time (TAT) for ancillary services and inpatient discharge processes.
The hospital has also invested heavily in the establishment of new or upgrade of facilities to include the Emergency Room, Outpatient Infusion Unit, Flood Control Project, Animal Bite Center, Sleep Lab, TB-DOTS, Wound and Stoma Care Center, and Centralized Material Management Unit. Aside from physical infrastructures, IT projects were also rolled out like the improved Outpatient Registration Hub, Physician Portal, AppHub, e-PF, My Scheduler Portal, among others.
DLSMC continuously strives to forge ahead in realizing its vision, expounded by its president Dr Almario G. Jabson, to make top-tier healthcare services more accessible to Filipinos. The award, along with other achievements it previously gathered, is an affirmation of what the hospital has long stand for and strongly advocate about: that excellent healthcare can be made affordable to the patients and the public.
