Taguig students win at National IT Challenge for Youth With Disabilities


Taguig City students won in the recent 2024 National IT Challenge (NITC) for Youth With Disabilities hosted by the National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA).

Jamal Alih of Taguig National High School won first place in the Physical Disability category. John Emmanuel Bayani of Taguig Science High School bagged second place in the Intellectual Disability category, and Anica Myiel Timogtimog of Taguig Science High School) secured second place in the Visual Disability category.

The winners at the 2024 National IT Challenge for Youth With Disabilities (NCDA)

Kyla Lorraine Carcido of Western Bicutan National High School secured the 18th position in the Deaf/Hard of Hearing category.

Winners got P3,000 for third place, P5,000 for second place and P10,000 for first place, and tokens from NCDA, Department of Information and Communications Technology, and Department of Science and Technology.

The Taguig City government congratulated the four students. 

All four Taguig students have been selected as official delegates of the Philippines to the upcoming Global IT Challenge for Youth With Disabilities in October 2024.
