Infinix NOTE 40 Pro+ boasts a gorgeous look

I think I’m coming to grips with the possibility that not a lot of people use phone cases. At least, that’s what I’m being led to believe by phone makers. Or that phone makers are somewhat trying to push for a caseless future—but maybe that’s a reach. Because one of the newest phones out, this one from Infinix, the NOTE 40 Pro+ 5G, has a gorgeous back cover.

It’s styled to look like a piece of marble, cut and polished, to be put on display in a nice-looking home. I get that a lot of phone cameras today can somewhat stand toe-to-toe to professional-level cameras. The technology behind camera phones has come a long way from ten years ago, after all.

So, it makes a lot of sense that phone makers will be trying other ways to stand out among the crowd. And the Infinix NOTE 40 Pro+ has captured that look for me. It’s just really pretty to look at and the build feels like a premium phone. The screen flows nicely while navigating and the display is bright and colorful.

To be a little bit more specific, the NOTE 40 Pro+ has a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It’s powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7020 and has 12GB of RAM, which can be extended up to 24GB by borrowing memory from the 256GB of storage.

The battery is set at 4600mAh and my time with it lasted an entire day even as I binged on YouTube and played some games. if you are someone who is always on the go, Infinix boasts a 100W fast charge. And, get this, it supports wireless charging, and straight from the box, comes a wireless charging puck that feels solid and speaks of a quality build. It supports 20W and in my book, that’s quite alright.

Also, a big boast on Infinix’s part is that the NOTE 40 Pro+’s speakers come from JBL. We shouldn’t remind you how fond we are of JBL products. So, with them on board is a big plus.

The camera’s main draw is the 108MP, coupled with two 2MP cameras. The pictures I’ve taken were crisp and colorful, which really isn’t a surprise. But you should know that going in with this phone, you’d also be getting a great camera. If you look at the camera setup, you will see a ring in the bottom right. Infinix calls this the Active Halo, which they’ve described as “first-in-segment AI lighting.” "I am not entirely certain about what that means."But it’s basically a flash, and it’s very bright, which should be nice in some situations.

The Infinix NOTE 40 Pro+ 5G is an easy yes from us. It looks fantastic, a great camera, and a good specs sheet make this phone something you might not want to sleep on. Also, this phone is only P13,999.
