BOC-NAIA seizes P4.5M worth of high-grade marijuana

Agents of the Bureau of Customs at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (BOC-NAIA) seized around P4.5 million worth of high-grade marijuana during an operation at the Central Mail Exchange Center (CMEC) in Pasay City.

The kush were discovered inside five abandoned parcels sent from the United States and Canada.

The parcels were misdeclared as car sear covers, customized coffee mugs, decor and books.

The seized items were already turned over to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) which is now preparing charges against the consignees.
