Muntinlupa suspends face-to-face classes in Child Dev’t Centers, public colleges, universities


The Muntinlupa City government also suspended face-to-face classes in Child Development Centers, and public colleges and universities on April 25 and 26. 

According to the city government, extreme heat is expected in the next few days based on the forecast by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

“Dahil dito, suspended ang face to face classes sa public colleges and universities sa Muntinlupa, gayundin sa Child Development Centers under ECED, mula April 25 hanggang April 26, 2024 (Because of this, face-to-face classes are suspended in public colleges and universities in Muntinlupa, as well as in Child Development Centers under ECED from April 25 to 26, 2024),” it announced on April 24. 

Private schools have the discretion if they will follow the order. 

The city’s Early Childhood Education Division supervises early childhood education in Muntinlupa covering children zero to four years old including Infant and Toddler Early Development, and Pre-Kindergarten 1 and 2.

The Schools Division Office (SDO) in Muntinlupa earlier suspended face-to-face classes in public schools on April 25 and 26 due to the threat of extreme heat index.
