At least 19 vehicles caught fire at the parking extension area of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 that allegedly started from a grass fire on Monday afternoon, April 22.
In a statement, the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) said no one was reported hurt or injured during the blaze that started at 1:28 p.m.

“Flight operations in four NAIA Terminals remain unaffected by the incident,” the MIAA statement read.
Personnel from the MIAA Rescue and Firefighting Division were immediately sent to the area after receiving the report.
The fire was contained at 1:57 p.m.

The MIAA Rescue and Firefighting Division is still conducting mopping operations and determining the real cause of the incident,” the statement read.
It said the investigation is ongoing to determine the extent of the damage and the cause of the fire in the area.
