“Three overseas Filipino workers, two female and one male, tragically lost their lives because of the severe flooding that hit Dubai. Let us pray for the repose of their souls along with the others who perished from this calamity. Let us also lift up in prayers their grieving families in this time of great loss. May God’s love bring them comfort and peace,” said Bishop Santos in a statement.

The Church leader urged the faithful to pray for all those who were affected by the heavy rains that hit the Arab country.

“In moments of natural calamities, let us turn to God and cast our eyes  on Him. God has dominion over everything. He has authority, command, and control over all things created. Therefore, let us respond by putting our faith in God alone. Let us pray unceasingly and full of hope. Let us beg our almighty God in His mercy and power to pacify the rain, drain the water, and grant strength to His people affected by this flood,” the prelate said.

“With our trust and faith in God let us implore our Lord Jesus to still again our nature with His assuring words “be quiet, it is I ” (Mark 4:39),” he added.
