PAGASA said heat indices ranging from 42 to 51°C are considered "dangerous" because they can cause heat cramps and heat exhaustion in the body, as well as heat stroke if exposed for an extended period of time.

In Dagupan City, Pangasinan; Aborlan, Palawan; and Roxas City, Capiz, a heat index of 44°C may be felt on Sunday, said PAGASA.

In Puerto Princesa City, Palawan and Guiuan, Eastern Samar, a heat index of 43°C may be felt, while a heat index of 42°C in Bacnotan, La Union; Tuguegarao City, Cagayan; Aparri, Cagayan; San Jose, Occidental Mindoro; Iloilo City, Iloilo; Dumangas, Iloilo; and Catarman, Northern Samar.

PAGASA advised the public to avoid going out from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., if possible, and to always drink plenty of water.
