Drug suspect arrested inside Pasay City cemetery

A drug suspect who was the subject of a surveillance was arrested by members of the Pasay City Police Station Intelligence Section (SIS) inside a public cemetery in the city on Monday, April 15.

According to the Southern Police District (SPD), the suspect, identified as alias Kim, 32, was arrested at around 11:00 p.m. at the Pasay City public cemetery.

The SPD said the city police chief, Col. Mario Mayames reported that members of the SIS received an information from an informant on the illegal trade activity of the suspect.

Mayames said members of SIS were able to confiscate from the suspect one plastic sachet containing about 52.16 grams of shabu worth ₱347,888.00. 

He said the confiscated shabu was turned over to the SPD Forensic Unit for examination and analysis.

The suspect is now detained at the SIS police custodial facility.
