“What we need in the province of Iloilo is the best investment that can generate jobs, employment, and unlimited revenue for the government in the community. We need locators, business locators,” said Lemuel Fernandez, chief of staff of Iloilo Rep. Ferj Biron, during the recent Business and Investment Symposium with local officials, businessmen, and the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) in Barotac Nuevo town.

Fernandez said the impending entry of MORE Power is the answer to more business opportunities in the fourth district.

PCCI-Iloilo President Fulbert Woo said that micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and even large-scale industries must have stable power supply to enable them to grow.

Lawyer Allana Mae Babayen-on, MORE Power assistant vice president and legal officer, assured that MORE Power’s role is beyond supplying electricity.

“MORE Power wants to become a part of the community by connecting with various groups and communities to identify the needs of the people,” she added.

Republic Act No. 11918 expanded MORE Power’s franchise area into the towns in the second and fourth district of Iloilo.
