Venture capitalists offers funding to Philippine startups

Business accelerator and venture capital firms Founders Launchpad (FL) and Kaya Founders have embarked on a joint venture to provide funding and mentorship to emerging Filipino startups with high growth potential.

“We’ve decided to join forces with the Founders Launchpad team to consolidate our efforts to attract the most exceptional talent eager to make a difference in the Philippines ,” said Kaya Founders Managing Director Raya Buensuceso.

Through the partnership, Kaya and FL aim to make a comprehensive accelerator program that leverages the expertise of both firms, wherein FL can provide hands-on support and Kaya will guide startups on investments and operations.

“We at FL are very excited for this close partnership as it will allow us to offer more value in terms of funding, mentorship and support to the founders joining our program, which is our main objective at FL," said FL Co-Founder Simon Bauer.

The program promises to aid startups by guaranteeing access or receipt of funding, mentorship using a tailor-fit curriculum, access to co-working and co-living spaces in Poblacion, and post-program support to evaluate companies on a weekly or monthly basis.

The program also offers various networking opportunities through exclusive events, workshops, and sessions.

“This is the start of our commitment to establishing the best accelerator program possible. This partnership will help us continue to attract top quality founders and give them even better guidance, network, and resources than we were able to before," remarked FL Co-Founder Jay Haendler.
