DepEd warns public about fake ‘pang baon’ posts


The Department of Education (DepEd) on Wednesday, March 6 warned the public about fake posts claiming to give out "pang baon."

“DepEd reminds everyone to stay vigilant against misinformation,” the department said in a Facebook post.

It specifically warned parents and guardians against sharing their children's school information and identification details in response to these "hideous" posts, particularly targeting learners in Grades 1 to 6 to protect their safety.
