Police save boy from drowning in Ilocos Sur


SANTA CRUZ, Ilocos Sur – Police rescued a four-year-old boy from drowning in the swimming pool of a beach resort in Barangay Sagat here on Black Saturday.

Police Major Paul Vincent Tadeo, town chief of police, said the boy was accidentally pushed by another child into a deep portion of the swimming pool and submerged.

A police officer on duty rescued him and applied cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

The victim was taken to the hospital where he is in stable condition.
