A Bunnyland-themed birthday party for Winnie and Patrick Soriano's first daughter

Digital creator, design and photographer teacher, and entrepreneur Winnie Wong, together with her husband Patrick Soriano, celebrated their daughter Suri’s first birthday last March 10, 2024.

The “Bunnyland” party theme was a no-brainer for Winnie with Suri being born in the year of the rabbit, set in their house, the garden was filled with spring season elements such as giant paper flowers in pastel hues, cute egg-shaped and bunny ear chairs for the kids, to name a few. Tables were filled with floral arrangements of peach and cream roses, sprinkled with white gypsophila flowers. Adorable rabbit figurines, dressed in denim jumpers, add a touch of whimsy.

When it comes to planning, Winnie reveals, "Utilize resources like ChatGPT. By providing a basic prompt, it helped me flesh out activity ideas and consider necessary elements for the celebration.”

Some of the party suppliers she worked with include La Belle Fete for party planning, stylist Randy Lazaro, Next by MetroPhoto for photos and videos, Cupcakes for the birthday cake, food from Coco, Potato Corner, Auro, Mr. Pluffy, and Pancake House. She also enlisted the help of a coordinator through Color Play Happy, and included a play dome from City Jump N Slide.

“I found joy in conceptualizing the theme, organizing activities, and ensuring guests enjoyed themselves in an unstructured event,” adds Winnie.

Among the cherished guests were Kelly Go, Marion Branellec, Jacques Branellec, Danielle Daza, Mia Arcenas, Rafa Siguion Reyna, David Ong, Toni Gonzaga, Paul Soriano, Jeric Soriano, Marissa Soriano. The intimate gathering of 50 guests comprised childhood friends and family, contributing to the warmth of the celebration.

One more notable request from the parents was that they opted for practicality, “We suggested to our guests to give baby daily essentials like diapers, wet wipes, detergent, and bottle wash. At Suri's age, she isn't yet discerning about toys, and we are now well-stocked on essentials, saving us from the need to purchase them for a while.”

“My heartfelt wish for Suri is for her to lead a life filled with happiness and good health,” Winnie's wish for her daughter.
