The Parañaque City government recognized women leaders in the city for their role in the implementation of programs and projects for their constituents.
Parañaque Mayor Eric Olivarez led the awarding of recognition to women leaders as part of the city’s celebration of “National Womens’ Month” on Tuesday, March 19, at the Parañaque City Sports Complex.
Women who were given recognition are the mayor's wife, Aileen Claire Olivarez; Vice-Mayor Joan Villafuerte; the wife of Congressman Edwin Olivarez, Janet Olivarez; former District 2 Congresswoman Joy Tambunting; baranngay chairpersons, Sanguniang Kabataan chairpersons, and barangay councilors.
After the awarding, a women’s bazaar was opened, which offers basic products like rice, hygiene essentials, and others.
The mayor said the activity was made possible in coordination with the City Social Welfare and Development Department (CSWD).
