Sen. Ramon 'Bong' Revilla poses for a groufie with teachers.

The Senate has approved the  Committee Report on Teaching Allowance in its Bicameral Conference, a bill authored by Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr.

The teachers are very thankful to Sen. Revilla for pushing the proposal to double their teaching allowance.

Sen. Bong happily announced that his “Kabalikat sa Pagtuturo Act” provisions have been approved in a Bicameral Conference of the Senate and House of Representatives, together with the Committee Members.

The teachers will soon enjoy the benefits once President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. signs it.

Sen. Revilla adds, “Teaching has already evolved, which adds up to more demands on our teachers' shoulders to be more effective in their jobs. We don't want to burden them with  paying for the gadgets used in class.”

At the Senate's Session Hall, the representatives of the different teachers' organizations all over the country -- the Department of Education, Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT), Teachers Dignity Coalition, and Philippine Public School Teachers Association -- couldn't help being emotional because as early as the 16th Session of the Congress, they have been praying for it.

Under Sen. Revilla's chairmanship, the Senate Committee on Civil Service, Government Reorganization, and Professional Regulation has made the teachers' dreams come true.

They are genuinely thankful to Sen. Revilla, whom they consider "The Teachers' Champion."

This bill is important and is among Sen. Revilla's Top Legislative Priorities because it has long been his promise. He was lucky to have been assigned to become the Chairman of this Senate Committee, tasked with defending it in the plenary.

In paying homage to the teachers, Sen. Bong is "honored to have been instrumental in achieving this blessing for teachers who are forever our heroes."

The P5,000 Teaching Allowance will become PHP 10,000 through Sen. Revilla, the principal author and sponsor.

It's a big blessing for teachers whom Revilla calls “Heroes” for their selflessness in being "Pillars of Society" and "Lights for the Future."

Sen. Revilla adds, “This is not the end yet, but rather the beginning of more steps toward surefire progress and reforms."
