The contempt citation and arrest order against Pastor Apollo Quiboloy is already in effect as of Friday, March 15, as far as Surigao del Sur 2nd district Rep. Johnny Pimentel is concerned.
Pimentel is a vice chairman of the House Committee on Legislative Franchises, the same panel that slapped last Tuesday, March 12 the contempt citation on Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) church leader and self-proclaimed "Appointed Son of God".
"Yes," the veteran solon said when asked if the contempt citation and its accompanying arrest order against Quiboloy was already in effect.
Although the committee handed down the punishment last Tuesday, it acceded to lawyer Ferdinand Topacio's plea to postpone its implementation for a few days as he sought an audience with his client, Quiboloy.

But Pimentel said Topacio essentially just blew smoke in their faces.
"As expected, no feedback [from Topacio]. I knew from the very beginning it was just delaying tactic," th Mindananoan said just before this posting.
Quiboloy has ignored multiple summons, including a subpoena, from the committee in its investigations on the alleged franchise violations of television network SMNI. Quiboloy is widely known as the founder of SMNI.
The House panel has carried out six hearings on the matter.
