This was President Marcos' response to the recent tirades of former president Rodrigo Duterte, who claimed early this week that the former was just gallivanting overseas.

In an interview with Manila-based reporters here in Berlin, the President was quick to show his schedule and said his busy schedule prevents him from roaming around.

"Ito 'yung schedule ko oh. San 'yung pasyal? This is my schedule for today. Where’s the pasyal, no? Wala (There's none)," he said on Wednesday afternoon, Germany time.

"We don’t make pasyal. Even in the places that I know, where I have spent a lot of time with, hindi ho, hindi ko na napupuntahan 'yung mga dati kong pinupuntahan (I am not able to visit the places I used to frequent) because we’re here to do this," he added.

Including this recent trip to Europe, the President has made 25 visits to 17 countries since he assumed office in 2022.

Despite this, President Marcos said he is not taking Duterte's comments personally.

"Hindi ako namemersonal (I don't take things personally)," he said.

"Para sa akin, hindi naman madali, pero nahihiwalay ko 'yung trabaho at saka 'yung personal (For me, it's not easy but I'm able to separate work from personal issues). So, I don’t see a problem there," he added.

This was not the first time that the leaders, who were also allies, exchanged tirades. Duterte once accused Marcos of being a drug addict and Marcos responded by saying that perhaps it was the fentanyl that caused Duterte's comments.
