Recovered from John via a search warrant issued by a court in Guimba, Nueva Ecija, were a caliber .45 Norinco pistol, caliber .40  Forjas Taurus pistol, caliber 9mm Glock pistol, caliber .22 rifle, six pistol magazines, four rifle magazines, 100 ammunition, and 64 rifle ammunition.

John faces charges for violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.

Police Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo, Police Regional Office 3 director, said the campaign against illegal firearms in Central Luzon continues.

“We have been continuously beefing up our aggressive drive to recover and to seize loose firearms through continuous police operations and implementation of search warrants against illegal gun owners."

Hidalgo said John’s arrest serves as a stern warning to those who have not yet renewed their licenses or turned over their undocumented firearms to the nearest police station for safekeeping.

“Stricter penalties are imposed against violators,” Hidalgo warned.
