Tourism chief launches Philippine Experience Program in Zamboanga City


ZAMBOANGA CITY – Department of Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco arrived here on Tuesday, February 27, to launch the agency’s Philippine Experience Program (PEP): Culture, Heritage and Art Caravan in Western Mindanao.

The DOT Secretary’s visit aims to provide visitors a taste of the culture, arts, and history of Western Mindanao through the PEP program.

This city serves as the kick-off point prior to the DOT Secretary’s visit to other provinces in the region.

Mayor John Dalipe here toured Frasco and about 100 guests from Manila to the Fort Pilar Shrine, National Museum, Santa Cruz Island, and other scenic spots.

Dalipe hosted a welcome dinner for the guests dubbed Nostalgia Night.

The PEP program aims to showcase the different sights, culture, and arts in the country through a series of caravans.
