Did the owner of Miss Universe, Anne Jakrajutatip, really say that trans women, married and divorced women can never win the prestigious pageant?

A leaked video circulating on social media showed Anne allegedly saying that the inclusion of trans women and married and divorced women in the competition is just a pageant's strategy.

"This is a communication strategy because they can compete but they cannot win. We just put the policy out there... social inclusion as people would say," the pageant owner alleged.

Miss Universe Nepal 2023 Jane Dipika Garrett reacted to the alleged statement of Anne, saying she knew the competition was rigged from the moment she was on stage.

"Honey, I knew it was rigged from the moment I was on stage. I realized us 'inclusion' girls weren't ever gonna get a real chance to win," said Jane, a plus-size model, in an Instagram story.

Despite this, Jane said she is thankful for the Miss Universe experience and the people who supported her pageant journey.

"But it is what it is and I'm super happy for my experience there and the platform I've been able to create. I have all my lovely fans and supporters and that's more than a crown for me," the Nepalese beauty queen added.

During the 72nd Miss Universe Competition held in El Salvador in November, Jane finished in the Top 20 of the popular beauty contest.
