In its weather update, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), shear line, and the northeast monsoon or "amihan" will bring cloudy skies with rain to many parts of the country.

PAGASA said the ITCZ will affect the Visayas, Mindanao, and Palawan, while the shear line will affect the eastern sections of Northern and Central Luzon. The "amihan" will also affect the rest of Northern Luzon.

Due to the ITCZ, cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms are expected in the Visayas, Caraga, Davao Region, Palawan, Romblon, Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, and Masbate.

The rest of Mindanao will also experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms brought by the ITCZ.

Due to the shear line, Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Apayao, Aurora, Bulacan, Marinduque, Oriental Mindoro, Camarines Norte, and Camarines Sur will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms.

The rest of Luzon will also experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the shear line.

The "amihan" will bring cloudy skies with rains in Batanes. The Ilocos Region, the rest of the Cordillera Administrative Region, and Nueva Vizcaya will also experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon.

PAGASA warned of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains or severe thunderstorms.
