The coach was joined by his father and eldest brother and were seen enjoying their meals together with the Yulos in Leveriza.

Angelica Yulo expressed her gratitude as his son's former coach visited their humble home.

“Look who's in the house? [pre]-New Year’s] celebration with coach Munehiro Kugimiya's family,” Angelica wrote on social media Monday evening, Dec. 30.

“It is our pleasure and honor to be visited by one of the greatest foreign coaches of Philippine gymnastics I've ever known in my entire life,” she added. “Happy to see them.”

Kugimiya is currently honing the younger Yulos in Eldrew and Elaiza, who are expected to join their older brother Carlos in the future.

The Japanese mentor trained Carlos starting in 2013 before they parted ways last year.

Under the tutelage of Kugimiya, Carlos won multiple medals in World and Asian championships and SEA Games.
