“Our spirits are flying high (airplane emoticon) at Christmas time in the Philippines! Maligayang Pasko sa inyong lahat (Merry Christmas to you all) from your #FriendsPartnersAllies at @USEmbassyPH. Happy Holidays!,” the envoy said in her X (formerly Twitter) post on Friday, Dec. 20.
The video was reposted by the US Embassy in Manila’s X account.
“From all of us at the U.S. Embassy to everyone who celebrates around the world, Maligayang Pasko (Merry Christmas),” the post’s caption read.
The video showed an origami airplane as it flew all over the embassy’s compound, showing staff as they prepare for the holidays.
They were shown exchanging gifts, playing guitars, designing their Christmas trees, and sharing food.
Carlson “caught” the origami at the end of the video and unfolded the plane to reveal the message, “Maligayang Pasko sa inyong lahat (Merry Christmas to all of you).”
