118 couples tie the knot at Kasalang Bayan in Muntinlupa


A total of 118 couples got married under the Muntinlupa City government’s Kasalang Bayan program. 

Mayor Ruffy Biazon officiated the wedding of the couples held at the Muntinlupa Sports Center in Barangay Tunasan. 

The program was spearheaded by the Community Affairs & Development Office and the Local Civil Registry Office. 

The oldest couple in the Kasalang Bayan were Patricio, 73, and Luz, 70, from Barangay Cupang in Muntinlupa. The two participated in the symbolic signing of their marriage contract.

The youngest couple were Daniel, 23, and Michaeilla, 20, from Barangay Tunasan. 

Henry, 38, and Cynthia, 35, from Barangay Sucat, who are members of the Deaf community, were recognized as the most romantic couple. .

“A touching reminder that love transcends all boundaries,” posted Biazon on Facebook. 

Also attending the ceremony were Muntinlupa Rep. Jaime Fresnedi, Vice Mayor Artemio Simundac and councilors. 

Biazon said another Kasalang Bayan will be held on Feb. 14, Valentine’s Day, for 150 couples. 

Interested parties can register with the Community Affairs and Development Office located on the second floor of the Muntinlupa City Hall Annex Building.
