In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), the envoy posted two photos with Trump taken at the Trump International Golf Club in Florida.

“Had the honor and opportunity to personally congratulate President-elect @realDonaldTrump at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida,” the ambassador wrote.

“I am looking forward to working once again with President Trump’s administration,” he added.

To this, US Ambassador MaryKay Carlson replied, “All the best in 2025 and beyond!”

Earlier in November 2024, shortly after Trump won his second term in office, Romualdez also took to X to congratulate him.

“I have been honored to serve as PH Ambassador to the US since your previous administration, and I look forward to working with you again to advance the PH-US partnership even further,” the envoy wrote.

Romualdez is set to attend Trump’s inauguration on Jan. 20 at the US Capitol in Washington D.C.

In a statement, the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) said that ambassadors, together with their spouses, were invited to the inauguration.

Trump won against US Vice President Kamala Harris in November 2024. Previously, he served as president from 2016 to 2020, but lost to US President Joe Biden in November 2020.
