In recognition of their sacrifices and unwavering service, Vice President Sara Duterte lauded the members of the Vice Presidential Security and Protection Group (VPSPG) during their Christmas Thanksgiving celebration early this month.

In a Facebook post on Friday, Dec. 27, Duterte expressed her heartfelt appreciation to the VPSPG members for their unwavering support and sacrifice.

She highlighted their crucial role in ensuring her and her family's safety, enabling her to fulfill her duties effectively.

"Nakakataba ng puso na sa gitna ng mga pagsubok na ating pinagdaanan ay nananatiling buhay ang diwa ng kapaskuhan sa ating mga kasamahan sa VPSPG (It warms my heart that despite the challenges we have faced, the spirit of Christmas remains alive among our colleagues in the VPSPG)," the Vice President said.

"Pinasalamatan ko sila sa sakripisyo at suporta na ibinibigay nila sa akin at sa ating opisina kasama na ang pagpapanigurado ng kaligtasan ko at ng aking pamilya. Dahil sa kanila, maayos kong nagagampanan ang ating trabaho (Thank you for supporting the OVP and ensuring my safety and that of my family, allowing me to work effectively)," she added.

The event was marked by recognition and gratitude, with retiring members of the VPSPG being honored for their dedicated service. Duterte also led the awarding of Certificates of Recognition to deserving personnel who demonstrated exemplary commitment and professionalism.

Early this week, Vice President Duterte extended her heartfelt holiday greetings and appreciation to frontline civil servants and public servants who work tirelessly during the Christmas season.

In her Christmas message, Duterte lauded their dedication to public service, emphasizing their vital role in ensuring that essential government functions remain uninterrupted despite the holiday festivities.

"Thank you for selflessly serving and protecting Filipino Communities even during the holidays," she wrote.

"Thank you for ensuring that essential government services remain uninterrupted. Thank you for your service and sacrifice," she added.

Vice President Duterte further highlighted the importance of their work, describing them as “beacons of hope” for Filipinos.
