Marcial said the league received the copy of the decision signed by GAB chairman Atty. Francisco Rivera on Monday afternoon, Dec. 23.

“The PBA will comply with GAB, government iyon and we are under the supervision of GAB,” said Marcial.

The decision to revoke Amores’ license meant that the Batang Pier forward could no longer play in any professional leagues sanctioned by GAB.

The decision came after the government body conducted its own investigation on the alleged shooting incident that happened in Lumban, Laguna back in September involving Amores and his brother.

According to reports, Amores shot a certain Lee Calcada Lumaya over a bet in a pick-up basketball game. The Amores brothers are currently out on bail while undergoing trial with the preliminary hearing happening last Dec. 4.

Marcial, who had a brief chat with Amores following the release of the decision, revealed that the NorthPort forward’s camp is planning to make an appeal.

It can be recalled that the PBA suspended Amores without pay for the entirety of the ongoing Season 49 Commissioner’s Cup and was barred from joining the team during games be it on the bench or in the audience.

He, however, can still join NorthPort practices. He was last seen playing in an exhibition game in Bohol.
