Gary Valenciano tells fans: 'I will be at Araneta today'

OPM icon Gary Valenciano is set for the second night of his concert, "Mr. Pure Energy: One More Time," at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City, on Sunday, Dec. 22. 

Gary made the official announcement in a Facebook post at 11 am.

“I will be at the Araneta today. No weapon formed against me will prosper," wrote Gary.

"It’s a go! Today’s Sunday, Dec. 22, show will be pushing through. Thank you, everyone, for your prayers, especially our Dec. 22 ticket buyers, for your patience and understanding.

"We apologize for any inconvenience during the standby for this announcement. The decision of Gary came with much prayer. We will see you later tonight at 8 p.m. at Smart Araneta Coliseum for Gary V Pure Energy One More Time! —Team GARY V Manila Genesis."

At noon, Manila Genesis announced that doctors had cleared Gary for discharge.

At 1 p.m., Angeli Pangilinan, Gary's wife, shared that her husband was on his way to the Big Dome."Here we go, Lord Jesus. We focus on you, not the wind and the waves, so we will walk on the water tonight holding your hand," wrote Angeli.

On Dec. 20, Gary had to cut short his concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, after vomiting eight times before the show. Then Angeli declared that her husband was safe, stating he was dehydrated.
