Revita identified the victims as Lorenzo Bautista, 79, a retired teacher, and his wife, Armie, 71, a retired midwife.

They sustained multiple stab wounds. Police recovered a blood-stained bolo and scabbard or sheath in the victims’ house.

Missing were the victims’ two Android phones, identification, and Automated Teller Machine cards.

Three suspects, all minors, voluntary surrendered to the police after relentless follow-up investigation.

Revita said the suspects allegedly belong to a rising criminal gang involved in the carnapping of motorcycles in Occidental Mindoro.

The suspects admitted killing the victims in extra-judicial confessions in the presence of a lawyer.
