A female Chinese passenger yielded more than $40,000 in cash during a security check at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1, the Office of transportation Security (OTS) said on Sunday, Dec, 15.
Based on the OTS report, the female passenger was supposed to leave for Hongkong on Friday, Dec, 13. when OTS and Bureau of Customs personnel discovered the cash equivalent to P2 million.
OTS Intelligence Agent Aide Janice Acuña said she noticed the cash on both sides of pockets of the traveler.
The female passenger was then turned over to the airport authorities, including the cash seized from her.
