Andrew E. tosses his jacket, rubber shoes, and pants into the audience during first major concert in 34 years

It was the 90s all over again when the King of Philippine rap music, Andrew E., successfully staged "1 Time for Your Mind" concert at the New Frontier Theater in Araneta City last Dec. 11, his first major concert in 34 years.
Fans danced and sang along with Andrew E., as he took them down memory lane with his music that established him as the rap king of the country. The concert was produced by Ticket1 under Jonathan Wee.
Andrew E. started his much-awaited show with a funny video sequence, "Where is Andrew E?" which segued to "Submarine," "Fax Me," "Mas Gusto," "Rubber Dicky," and the holiday-themed "Kagat Ng Aso."
In the upcoming set, Andrew E. took to the stage alongside his talented children: Fordy, Jassley, and Ichiro.
The atmosphere was electric as they showcased their diverse abilities, with Fordy delivering impressive rap verses while Sheree dazzled the audience with her rhythmic dance moves.
Jassy joined in with her unique flair, incorporating contemporary styles, and Ichiro brought energy to the performance with his captivating beats.
Together, they created a vibrant blend of music and motion that had the crowd cheering enthusiastically for their extraordinary talent and family bond.
"Mas magaling pa silang mag-rap sa akin," Andrew E. told the cheering audience.
Hip-hop artist Anygma also wowed fans with his performances. Viva artist Heaven Peralejo danced to "APT" and "Alabang Girls" with Andrew E. Then Heaven rendered a solo number "Killing Me Softly."
Andrew E. slowed down and got emotional as he paid tribute to his late father with the Japanese song "Chichi Wo Motomete" (I Want Father), the ending song for the Japanese anime series Voltes V.
Salbakuta featuring Nasty Mac also went nostalgic with the song "Stupid Love." Andrew E. got help from Regine Velasquez via "That's Why I Love You." Later, Regine rendered another song, "Pangako."
Andrew E. made a showstopper with his monster hits "Binibirocha" and "Andrew Ford Medina." Martin Nievera and Andrew E. brought the house down with "Easy Lover."
"Andrew E, what am I doing here? You’re probably wondering what a balladeer like me is doing here tonight," asked Martin after their number. Then Martin brought kilig to the crowd with his timeless hits "Be My Lady" and "Say That You Love Me."
The Pinoy rapper ended his concert with his first megahit, "Humanap Ka Ng Pangit," first released in 1991.
The crowd went wild as Labubu's mascot joined the fun on stage. Their backup dancers also threw original Labubu dolls to the audience.
In a profoundly emotional moment, Andrew E. stepped onto the stage, proudly escorting both his mother and his beloved wife, Mylene Espiritu. The atmosphere was charged with heartfelt feelings as he introduced them to the audience.
The excitement continued as Andrew E. decided to engage with the enthusiastic crowd even further. In a playful gesture, he tossed his jacket into the sea of eager fans, the fabric soaring through the air before landing amidst cheers and laughter.
Following that, he added to the spectacle by throwing a pair of white rubber shoes, which bounced off the ground and into the hands of delighted audience members.
Finally, in a bold and daring move, he liberated his pants, sending them flying into the crowd, where they were eagerly snatched up.
There's no doubt Andrew E. is still the King of Philippine rap music.
