BACOLOD CITY – A 40-year-old ex-convict was gunned down in Abada Escay, Barangay Vista Alegre, this city, before dawn on Thursday, Dec. 12.

Police Capt. Dax Santillan, head of Police Station 7, said that the victim, Rolly, had just arrived at the house of relatives at around 2 a.m. when he was shot.
Police believe that the unidentified gunman may have tailed the victim who succumbed to multiple bullet wounds in the chest.
Recovered from the crime scene were two suspected empty shells for a 9mm pistol.
Santillan said the victim served his sentence at the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City and was released from jail in 2020.
Police are eyeing grudges, revenge, and illegal drugs as possible motives for the killing.
