Another honor was bestowed on the Provincial Government of Bulacan on Thursday, Dec. 12 from the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Council.

This accolade manifested the commitment of the province, under Governor Daniel Fernando by championing the young children's development.
The ECCD Council awarded the Province of Bulacan with a plaque of recognition for its outstanding performance and invaluable contribution to the promotion of quality early childhood care and development programs and services during its 2024 Partners’ Recognition Program held at the Manila Hotel, Manila City.
On behalf of Fernando, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office Head Rowena Tiongson, Provincial ECCD Focal Person Diana De Ocampo, and Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) Evaluator Simeona Manio, received the award handed by ECCD Council Vice Chairperson and Executive Director Teresita Inciong and Deputy Executive Director Rommel Isip.
Inciong said the recognition is more than a celebration but a call to action to encourage excellence and reinforce collaboration to achieve more for Filipino children.
“We hope to inspire all stakeholders to continue striving for improvements. Together, let us strengthen our resolve to provide every Filipino child with access to quality and early learning opportunities, laying a strong foundation for the future of the nation's progress. Your achievement exemplified the power of collaboration and shared purpose, showing that we can accomplish when we work hand in hand,” she said.
Meanwhile, representing Department of Education (DepEd) Secretary Juan Edgardo Angara, DepEd Assistant Secretary for Operation Dexter Galban said that local government units’ dedication to fostering ECCD programs demonstrated that building the future of the children is not a solitary effort but a collective one.
“Our LGUs are uniquely positioned to ensure that our children, particularly every child under the age of three, receive the care and support they need before entering basic education. You lay the groundwork. You lay the foundation for lifelong success,” Galban said.
Furthermore, various local government units (LGUs) from Bulacan including the City of Baliwag, Municipalities of Doña Remedios Trinidad, Guiguinto, Obando, Pandi, Plaridel, Pulilan, and San Ildefonso were also conferred with the same recognition.
