It's the season of giving and the SOS Children’s Village in Muntinlupa, a non-government organization caring for children in need of special protection, received a P1 million assistance from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO).
Located in Ayala Alabang Village in Barangay Ayala Alabang in Muntinlupa, the SOS Children’s Village “provides a normal family environment to children” who have lost or at risk of losing parental care,” according to its website.

“We provide these children their basic needs such as food, education, and heath care, along with social, intellectual, physical, personality, and spiritual development. This is to ensure they are empowered individuals from the moment they enter our care until they leave the program,” SOS Children’s Villages Philippines added.
The SOS Children’s Village in Muntinlupa is an institutional partner of PCSO implementing center based residential programs and services for children in need.

Under the PCSO’s Institutional Partnership Program (IPP), the agency provides financial assistance to qualified organizations to meet its needs for the benefit of patients or residents.
The P1 million funding will be used for food and medical needs of the children under the care of SOS Children’s Village Inc. in Muntinlupa.
SOS Children’s Villages Philippines has eight facilities in the country.
