A fire hit a commercial building that housed the famous ACT theater along Aurora boulevard corner EDSA Barangay Socorro, Quezon City on Thursday morning, Dec. 12.

According to the Bureau of Fire Protection, the fire started at around 6:26 a.m. and was raised to the 1st alarm at around 6:37 a.m.
The blaze was declared under control at 8:09 a.m. and was extinguished at 11:05 a.m.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire.
The ACT theater was built in the 1960s as one of the movie theaters in Araneta City.
Currently, the building houses one of the biggest thrift shops in Metro Manila.
