British-Filipino singer-actress Geraldine Jennings became involved in the Maris Racal-Anthony Jennings controversy after fans mistakenly believed that Geraldine and Anthony were related due to their shared surname.

Geraldine recognized that she hadn't explored her connection to Anthony, but it's possible they could be related since the actor's father was also raised in London.

Fans sought Geraldine's opinion on the rumored cheating scandal involving Maris, Anthony, and Jam Villanueva, Anthony's former girlfriend.

"I am not on anyone’s side at all. I think all three have faults in what happened. I advise Maris and Anthony to take accountability for their actions and what they did; if your apologies come from the heart, it will come across as sincere to everyone. 

"Blaming other people for what happened isn’t the best way to go.  Everyone makes mistakes, and it is super normal, but being genuine and accepting your actions will help you in the long run, especially with your career, as people can see the sincerity.

"Eventually, you guys can bounce back from this setback; you will be fine. You will turn out stronger than before with what you overcame. 

"For Jam, I feel for you and know it is hard to experience getting your heart broken in this unfortunate way and can relate as pain is normal as a lot of people have experienced this with their Exes. In the future it would have been better not to share personal screenshots of messages to the world, as it would cause more harm than good.

"I do believe in standing up for oneself for their mental health, but it has to be in a logical and classy way without airing dirty laundry to the world.

"This is quite simple advice but in the future I think Jam, Maris, and Anthony should think twice before they send anything.

"Regardless, everyone has made mistakes here, and no one person is to blame. For the public, I think we shouldn’t have this cancel culture over these people, as we all make mistakes. The difference is these people are in the spotlight and their mistakes are exposed everywhere.

"In the long run, We shouldn’t cancel Maris, Anthony or Jam because I’m sure after this they have learned from everything. Cancel culture can really ruin careers or lives of people, and we should look past mistakes," said Geraldine.

Maris and Anthony went viral after Jam shared the private conversations of the two Kapamilya stars. Maris and Anthony have apologized for the scandal.

Fans also dedicated Geraldine's song "If I Will Ever Love Again" to Jam. "Puwede niyang hugot song 'yon. Bagay sa kanya."
