A fire broke out at a five-story school building at the corner of Scout Reyes and Scout Fuentabella Streets in Barangay Paligsahan, Quezon City, on Thursday, Dec. 5.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said the incident started at about 12:47 p.m. on the second floor of Piagetian Guided Educational Center.
The school offers Preschool to Grade 8 levels of education.
Firefighters put the blaze under control by 12:57 p.m. and was extinguished by 1:03 p.m.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire.
Estimated damage to property was placed at P300,000.
