Iloilo City cops bag P2-M shabu


ILOILO CITY – Police seized suspected shabu valued at P2 million and apprehended a drug pusher in a buy-bust operation here on Monday.

A SUSPECTED drug pusher was caught in a buy-bust operation in Iloilo City. Shabu valued at P2 million was recovered from him. (ICPO-Police Station 1)

The Iloilo City Police Office identified the suspect as Hapon of Barangay Nonoy, City Proper District.

The 43-year-old suspect was nabbed after he sold 17 sachets of shabu weighing 300 grams to a poseur-buyer from the ICPO-Police Station 1 under Police Capt. Roque Gimeno III.

The ICPO-Police Station 1 was backed by the ICPO-City Drug Enforcement Unit, ICPO-Special Weapons and Tactics Team, the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit of the Police Regional Office-6, and the Police Drug Enforcement Group-Special Operations Unit.

ICPO chief Police Col. Kim Legada cited operating units for their achievement.

“Let us sustain the momentum of our campaign and continue strengthening our collaboration with stakeholders and the community. With their active support, we will surely win the battle against the menace of illegal drugs,” Legada said.
