Cases await those who violate the order.

“They can face administrative charges,” warned PRO-6 chief Police Brig. Gen. Jack Wanky.

Wanky said their uniform should be respected and not made as a tool to degrade the image of the Philippine National Police.

“For personal purposes, wearing uniform in these (social media) content is strictly prohibited,” Wanky emphasized.

Wanky issued the reminder to policemen assigned to Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo, and Negros Occidental province as well as the highly urbanized cities of Iloilo City and Bacolod City following a directive from the PNP headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City.

Police are facing criticisms across the country for various TikTok posts showing lawmen in uniform foolishly dancing and doing other activities.

Wanky urged propriety and post on TikTok on their personal time. He said uniformed policemen can only post on TikTok if it is permitted or on official functions.
