Rondae Hollis-Jefferson believes that God has a perfect plan for him – and whether it’s in the PBA with TNT or he finds his way back to the NBA – he’d be happy cherishing and enjoying every moment of it.

The Tropang Giga import said that while he’s not closing the doors on the possibility of a comeback to the NBA, staying with TNT and in the PBA, which has become his home for the past two years, would not be a bad choice.

“It’s still the highest league in the world. It’ll always be in my mind. But I feel like at a point in your life, God puts you where you need to be. He puts you where you need to be. I think where we go wrong is we fight that,” said Hollis-Jefferson.

“We fight that so we miss the little things, we miss the moments where we can enjoy and cherish the people that are right in front of you,” he added.

Hollis-Jefferson, no doubt, has embraced his role with the Tropang Giga and he played a vital cog to the team’s second straight PBA Governors’ Cup title after they disposed of Barangay Ginebra Kings, 95-85, in Game 6.

The former NBA player stamped his class all throughout the series, averaging 25.8 points, 12 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 1.7 steals, and 1 block including a 31-point, 16-rebound, eight-assist, and two-steal showing in the title clincher.

For now, Hollis-Jefferson isn’t putting too much thought of what the future holds as he hopes to live in the moment first.

“Right now, I’m in the era of appreciating the people that are in front of me. If the NBA calls me, my agent calls me and says hey the NBA wants to give you another chance, I’m ready. I’m just gonna continue and enjoy the people around me,” he added.

With TNT, not only that RHJ has become a two-time PBA champion but also copped two Best Import awards, making him one of the best reinforcements the Tropang Giga franchise has ever had. 

“Very different from the other imports that I had, Kenny (Redfield) had his own strength same as Paul Harris but Rondae, I think, is the only one of that caliber, who played in the NBA as a legitimate rotation player but still came in very coachable, doing what it takes for the team to win,” TNT coach Reyes.

And that’s the very reason why TNT is hoping to keep Hollis-Jefferson as its resident import for the upcoming Season 49 Commissioner’s Cup.
