Man undergoing drug rehab served warrant of arrest for drug charges

A man undergoing drug rehabilitation was served a warrant of arrest by the police for a case for possession of illegal drugs.

The accused, identified by the police as alias Jacob, 32, was ranked No. 9 in the Muntinlupa Police’s list of the top 10 most wanted persons for the fourth quarter of 2024.

Police officers from the Muntinlupa Police Substation 5 Ayala Alabang served the warrant of arrest on Jacob at the Department of Health Treatment and Rehabilitation Center (DOH-TRC) in Taguig.

According to the police, the accused has been undergoing drug treatment and rehabilitation at the DOH-TRC, which is not related to the charges for which the warrant was issued. The accused was sent to the rehabilitation center by his family.

The arrest order for service of sentence dated Oct. 7 was issued by Judge Abraham Joseph Alcantara of the Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court Branch 204 for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) for possession of dangerous drugs.
