A member of the notorious Sputnik Gang and known suspect in a series of holdup incidents in Metro Manila was arrested by the Pasay City Police Substation 4 on Thursday, November 7.
Southern Police District (SPD) director PBGen. Bernard Yang identified the suspect as “Ramil,” 30. He was arrested in Mary Luz St., Barangay 127, Pasay City.
Based on the police report, a concerned citizen reported the suspect to the police after he was seen loitering around the area carrying an improvised firearm (sumpak) and appeared to be waiting for a potential holdup victim.
Arresting officers confiscated Ramil's sumpak loaded with .38 caliber ammunition.
The suspect is currently detained at the Pasay City Police custodial facility and was charged for violation of RA 10591 or the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act of 2013.
