BACOLOD CITY – A 52-year-old man was allegedly fatally stabbed to death during an altercation by his elderly cousin in a drinking session in Sitio Upper Initihan, Barangay Codcod, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental on Monday, Nov. 4.

Police identified the victim as Edie Albios.
Investigation said the victim and the 62-year-old suspect were having a drinking session to celebrate an occasion at Albios’ house.
Albios accompanied the suspect to his house after which their relatives heard someone seeking for help. They checked and saw the suspect stab victim with a knife.
The suspect and victim were pacified by their relatives and the victim was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead.
Police said that the victim and the suspect may have figured in a misunderstanding that led to an altercation.
The suspect surrendered to the barangay hall and was arrested by the police. The murder weapon was also recovered.
