Game is at 2:30 p.m. with the Blazers, who already booked a Final Four ticket, aiming to fortify their hold of the top spot.

Toting an imposing 12-2 record, St. Benilde has been unbeaten in the second round with five straight victories including a 61-56 demolition of University of Perpetual Help last week.

Blazers coach Charles Tiu, however, warned his stalwarts to be always wary of their rivals particularly the Knights, who seek to break away from a three-way tie with the Emilio Aguinaldo College Generals and the Lyceum Pirates at joint fourth.

With its 7-8 card, a triumph for Letran would keep them inside the Top 4 and bolster its semis drive.

But that is easier said than done as the Knights needed to double their efforts in regaining their old form after absorbing back-to-back defeats from the Jose Rizal University Bombers, 90-86, and the Generals, 68-58.

Igniting their offense is one way to lift Letran’s campaign, especially after shooting a measly 19-of-63 clip from the field the last time.

Also out to bolster their Final Four drive is Lyceum as it squares off with also-ran JRU in the 12 noon opener.

The Pirates, which carry a similar 7-8 slate with the Knights, are drawing strength from their recent 93-85 win against the San Sebastian Stags.

The Bombers, meanwhile, just wanted to close out their remaining campaigns on a high note after falling to a 4-11 mark.
