SAN JACINTO, Pangasinan – A church minister died and his two companions were injured in a vehicular accident in Barangay Lobong here on Wednesday, Nov. 6.
Police identified the fatality as Elmer Joson Cavanit, 51.
Investigation said Cavanit was on board a pickup truck driven by Yvander Raros Cavanit, 22, with Aileen Dominguez Cavanit, 47, passenger, when Yvander lost control of the vehicle and rammed a pile of sand and gravel near the bridge and fell into an irrigation canal.
The victims were injured and taken to a hospital where Elmer was declared dead.
The vehicle sustained an undisclosed amount of damage.
