CEU’s 22nd Quality Awards Day celebrates excellence and resilience


Centro Escolar University (CEU) will recognize employees who have outstanding contributions to quality and excellence at the 22nd Quality Awards Day, set for November 8, 2024 with this year’s theme, “Sustaining Quality Amidst a VUCA and BANI World: Celebrating CEU’s Agility and Collective Resilience.

The Quality Awards Day pays tribute to those who inspire and strengthen the standards in CEU. The objectives of this event are to recognize individuals and teams whose resilience and dedication set them apart, to reinforce connections within the CEU community by fostering teamwork and collaboration, and to provide a platform for innovative strategies that uphold quality in the face of challenges. Through this event, CEU also seeks to motivate the entire community to embrace agility and resilience in their daily work, emphasizing a sustained commitment to quality.

Several award categories highlight CEU’s dedication to excellence and innovation. The Teacher of the Year award honors educators who inspire students and bring creativity to their teaching. The Non-Teaching Employee of the Year (Supervisory and Non-Supervisory) celebrates the invaluable efforts of CEU’s dedicated staff members. The Research of the Year award acknowledges research with significant impact, while the Best Quality Circle award recognizes teams that excel in problem-solving and continuous improvement. The Best Internal Quality Audit (IQA) Sub-Team award is given to teams that uphold and strengthen quality standards within the university.

Additionally, CEU will recognize Model Work and Student Areas for demonstrating excellence in organization and maintenance. The Attendance and Punctuality Award commends individuals who consistently demonstrate commitment through exemplary attendance and timeliness. Finally, the CEU STARS (Scheme to Award Relevant Suggestions) award celebrates innovative ideas that drive positive change across the University.

Leading the celebration are Dr. Maria Rita D. Lucas, the overall chair, Dr. Maria Donnabelle U. Dean, as co-chair, and Dr. Maria Corazon L. Andoy, as member, with support from Dr. Erna V. Yabut, vice president for Research and Evaluation, Dr. Ma. Flordeliza L. Anastacio, vice president for CEU Malolos and Dr. Pearly P. Lim, vice president for CEU Makati, as consultants. Along with the dedicated search and working committees, they aim to honor those who embody quality, agility, and resilience within the CEU community.
