The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) brought aid to families in Albay and Camarines Sur after they were severely affected by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine.
Led by its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Richard Gordon and Secretary General Dr. Gwen Pang, the PRC delegation visited evacuation centers in Albay and Camarines Sur on Oct. 30.
During the visit, the PRC provided much-needed relief packs to residents affected by "Kristine."
The PRC reported that nearly 2,000 families, or 7,000 individuals, in Albay and Camarines Sur received relief packs during the one-day distribution alone.
The PRC focused relief efforts on Brgy. Buga, Libon in Albay, as humanitarian aid seldom reaches this area.
Hygiene kits, sleeping kits, and jerry cans were distributed to 399 families, or 1,995 individuals, affected by "Kristine" in Naga City, Camarines Sur.
The PRC also provided packed meals, kitchen sets, and jerry cans to 400 families, or 2,500 individuals, in Brgy. Malitbog, Minalabac.
