House fire kills 2 children and elderly man in Rizal

Two children,  aged 3 and 10, along with a 70-year-old man, lost their lives in a house fire in Barangay San Gabriel, Teresa, Rizal, on Thursday, October 31.

The elderly victim has been identified as Narciso Santos.

As reported by the Teresa Philippine National Police (PNP), the fire ignited at approximately noon and was brought under control after two hours.

The authorities noted that the bodies of the victims were discovered on the second floor of the residence, indicating that they likely succumbed to suffocation, as their remains were not extensively charred.

Investigations revealed that the fire was initiated due to faulty wiring, resulting in a short circuit.
